The attention of Arab football fans, on Wednesday, is
directed to the stadiums "974" and "Al Thumama" in Doha,
the Qatari capital, which will host the two semi-final matches of the Arab
Football Cup.
The first match will be between Egypt and Tunisia at
the 974 stadium, whose stands can accommodate 40,000 spectators, while the
second match will bring together the “host” Qatar team with its Algerian
counterpart at the “Al Thumama” stadium, which can accommodate the same number.
The Tunisian team, "The Eagles of Carthage",
secured a place in the tournament's semi-finals, at the expense of its Omani
counterpart, by defeating it 2-1 in the match that brought them together, last
Friday, at the "Education City" stadium in the city of Rayyan.
Meanwhile, Egypt's "Pharaohs" team qualified
for the 2021 Arab Cup semi-finals, at the expense of its Jordanian counterpart,
after winning it 3-1 after extending the meeting that brought them together,
last Saturday, at Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakra, Qatar.
Qatar's "Al Annabi" qualified for the
semi-finals after its broad victory over its UAE counterpart with a white five,
while the Algerian team reached the semi-finals after overcoming its Moroccan
counterpart on penalties 5-3 after the end of the original and extra time with
a 2-2 draw.
Qatar will host the tenth edition of the Arab Football
Cup until December 18, with the participation of 16 teams, including
"Qatar, Tunisia, Algeria and Egypt" who reached the semi-finals.
