Weightlifter Mansour Al Saleem won the first gold in
the history of Saudi weightlifting in the World Weightlifting Championship.
And the Minister of Sports Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki
Al-Faisal published pictures of the weightlifter, saying: “I congratulate the
champion weightlifter, Mansour Al Saleem, for achieving the first gold in the
history of Saudi weightlifting in the World Weightlifting Championships for
adults. Successive achievements and unstoppable ambition, thanks to God, and
then supporting the leadership of our home".
For its part, the Ministry of Sports published a
series of tweets on its Twitter page, in which it said: "Our hero Mansour
Al Salim won the gold medal in the World Weightlifting Championships for
adults, 'kidnapping the weight of 55', whose competitions are being held in the
Uzbek capital Tashkent."
In a separate tweet attached to a picture of the
weightlifter Al Saleem, the ministry said: "Welcome with us the world
champion in weightlifting for adults in the '55 weight snatch' competition...
Congratulations to our hero Mansour Al Saleem."
