Bahraini Hessa Al-Essa, player of the Kingdom's
women's football team, led her team to crown the Saudi Women's Football
Championship title, Saturday, after she contributed to a sweeping victory over
Al-Tahadi, with a score of (7-0), by scoring 5 goals from the Seven, in the
final confrontation that brought the two sides over King Abdullah Sports City
Reserve Stadium in Jeddah.
The players of the Kingdom’s women’s team and the
runners-up of the eastern region rained the challenge net and the runner-up of
the central region, with seven goals, which were cut by Munira Al-Hamdan, the
team leader, before the scoring journey continued with six more, one of them
through Al-Hamdan herself. , outperforming her Tunisian colleague Samia El
Aouni, who scored four goals.
The Kingdom’s women’s team won a third prize, with
Samia Khaled winning the best goalkeeper award after receiving only two goals,
and her team reaching the final, while Al-Bandari Hawsawi won the best player
award in the tournament.
The Kingdom’s women’s team won the championship cup
and gold medals, along with an amount of 300,000 riyals, while the second place
prize of 250,000 riyals went to the challenge team, and the Al-Yamamah team won
the third place and a prize of 200,000 riyals.
In the match for the third and fourth places, Al
Yamamah beat the Eagles of Jeddah with three clean goals, scored by Moudhi
Abdel Mohsen, Al-Bandary Mubarak and Anya Fermat.
