2025.. Riyadh is the
front of Asia
In the year 2025, Riyadh, the Saudi capital, witnessed
the participation of about 6,000 male and female players, representing 65
countries, in the seventh edition of the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.
The Games in Riyadh include 28 games for both men and
women.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of
Sports and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Prince
Muhammad bin Abdul Rahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Riyadh Region,
and Raja Randhir Singh, President of the Olympic Council of Asia, signed
yesterday the contract for Riyadh to host the Asian event, for the first time,
In the hall of the Ministry of Sports in Riyadh.
The signing was attended by Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin
Abdulaziz, Vice President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, and
Hussain Al-Musallam, Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia. Riyadh
won the hosting of the Asian event during the 40th General Assembly of the
Olympic Council of Asia last November, which was held in Dubai, UAE.
Choose the green hall
The Organizing Committee of the Asian Indoor and
Martial Arts Games chose the Ministry of Sports Hall “Green Hall” in the Prince
Faisal bin Fahd Olympic Complex in Riyadh, as the main hall that hosts the 7th
Asian Games Indoor and Martial Arts 2025.
The Organizing Committee decided that the clubs' gyms
and the Leaders Preparation Institute would be for daily training and direct
confrontations with Asian teams.
5 Asian countries
Five countries have hosted the Asian Indoor and Martial
Arts Games since its official launch in 2005.
The first edition began in Thailand, passing through
Macau in 2007, then was organized in Vietnam 2009, South Korea 2013, and
finally in Turkmenistan 2017. Thailand will host for the second time the sixth
edition of 2023 before organizing it in Saudi Arabia in 2025.
