“Saudi Engines”: No change
in the dates of the “Formula Jeddah” events
The
Saudi Motorsports Company clarified that the schedule of events and activities
for the Formula 1 stc Saudi Grand Prix in Jeddah is proceeding according to the
pre-prepared schedule, in reference to the hostile operation that targeted the
Aramco petroleum products distribution station in Jeddah, on Friday.
And
the clarification stated: “With reference to the hostile operation that
targeted the petroleum products distribution station of Aramco in Jeddah, the
Saudi Motorsports Company would like to clarify that the schedule of events and
activities for the Formula 1 stc Saudi Grand Prix, which is currently taking
place at the Jeddah Corniche circuit, is proceeding according to the prepared
schedule. It is unchanged, and that all security measures for the safety of
participants, contestants and visitors, which were taken to hold this race in
advance, are taking place as usual.”
The
company added in its statement: "The circuit witnessed the holding of the
first practice session for Formula 1 at five in the afternoon, which lasted for
an hour, and was preceded by a trial session for Formula 2 and the Porsche
Sprint Challenge Middle East in its first tests."
The
accompanying events continue at the Jeddah Circuit, which has witnessed a large
crowd since the early hours of Friday afternoon, in the Formula Village, and
the various activities that it includes.
