Gulf and Safa in
the final hand
Yesterday, the Al-Khaleej and Al-Safa handball teams
hit a date in the Saudi Federation Cup final, after they won, yesterday,
Al-Zulfi and Al-Nour in the semi-final matches, which were played in Prince
Nayef bin Abdulaziz Hall in Qatif. The same hall will host the final, tomorrow,
at 5:00 pm. In the first confrontation, the Gulf managed to finish the first
half ahead of Al Zulfi 14-12, while the second half witnessed a great
competition between the two parties, ending the meeting 27-27, and the two
teams ruled for two additional periods, in which the Gulf decided the result in
their favour, 34-30.
The second match also witnessed a great rivalry
between Al-Safa and Al-Nour, who ended the first half in his favour, 14-13.
Hussein Al Hanabi tied for Al-Safa, so the match also ended 27-27, and in the
extra two halves, Al-Safa settled the situation after Ali Al-Ghanim,
goalkeeper, starred, to win 31-29.
