Federation is the best in the world
Paul Eric, President of the International Badminton
Federation, presented the award for the best federation in the world for
badminton in the first place in the Participation Branch of Muqrin bin Muhammad
al-Muqrin, President of the Saudi Badminton Federation, this came during the
meeting of the General Assembly of the International Badminton Federation 2022
AD, which was held in the Thai capital, Bangkok, with the participation of 196
countries. From the member states of the International Badminton Federation,
where the meeting included the award ceremony of the International Badminton
Federation competition
The participation of the Saudi Badminton Federation in
the competition in the Participation branch came through 9 distinct projects,
in which it outperformed the participation of more than 100 developed
countries.
This award came in appreciation of the efforts made by
the federation with the support of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee
and the Ministry of Sports, which resulted in distinguished achievements in
spreading and developing the sport of badminton in Saudi Arabia.
For his part, the President of the Saudi Badminton
Federation expressed his great happiness at the federation’s achievement of
this important global achievement, which is being achieved for the first time
in Saudi Arabia, stressing that it came as a result of the unprecedented support
enjoyed by various sports, and badminton in particular, in Saudi Arabia with
the support of the wise leadership and the patronage of His Highness. Royal
Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports and President of the
Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, which was translated into the strategy
of the Saudi Badminton Federation.
He also added that all the employees of the federation
have a role in achieving this global achievement, which is the most important
achievement in the history of the federation since its establishment in 2014.
