Al Shabab and Abha Taekwondo share the Saudi Super Cup
On Friday, the Saudi Taekwondo Federation concluded
its sports season by organizing the 42nd Saudi Club Championship for the Saudi
Super Cup, with the participation of 403 players representing 42 clubs.
Brigadier General Shaddad Al-Omari, President of the Saudi
Taekwondo Federation, crowned the winners of the competitions that concluded on
Friday in the Green Hall in Riyadh.
The youth team resolved the conflict at the adult
level, and the Cup won first place with “737” points and 5 gold, and Al Hilal
came as the runner-up with 312 points, two gold, and Al Wahda came third with
231 points, and one gold, and Abha team fourth with 185 points, and the
Al-Nujoum team won the team award. The ideal.
In the youth category, Abha’s team topped the table
alone with 464 points and 3 golds, and finished second with 313 points, and a
gold, and Al Hilal third with 261 points and two golds, and the fourth branch
with 236 points, and a gold, and the Al Watan team won the ideal team award.
During the closing ceremony, a number of distinguished
personalities in the sports season were honored, starting with Abu Bakr Kurdi,
the former vice president of the federation and the Olympic referee, for his
efforts and services to Saudi sport and the continental and international
honors. The leadership woman award was also given to Sahar Mumina, the wisdom
of taekwondo, and Ali Al-Issa was also honored as a coach. Al-Raed Veteran Club
for its long efforts during his career, where he entered the game in 14 clubs
over a period of more than 40 years. Maram Al-Yahya was the best player, Ghazi
Al-Ghanim was awarded the best international referee, and Abdul Rahman Al-Omari
was a promising referee. Administrative and Arwa Hassan is the best female
taekwondo referee. Shaal Al-Dossary (Al-Hilal), Khaled Al-Dhaimi (Al-Fara’),
Mansour Asiri (Abha) won the award for the best 3 coaches in the sports season,
and Reem Abu Bakr, the best coach, while Fahad Al-Samih, the youth player, won
the best award. A player in the sports season after obtaining the highest
international rating among the Saudi players.
During the closing ceremony, the leaders in the sports
season were honored, as Abha Club won the General Excellence Cup for Al-Karouqi
after leading the sports season with 90 points, breaking previous records. At
the level of Al-Bumsi, Esperance won the General Excellence Cup with 60 points,
surpassing its competitors by a large difference after winning all Boomsi
Championships.
In the same regard, Brigadier General Shaddad
Al-Omari, President of the Saudi Taekwondo Federation, congratulated all the
participating teams, including administrators, coaches, players, all referees
and committees, for the success of the sports season, explaining that everyone
deserved honor for their great effort and wonderful work that contributed to
raising the competition index and increasing the number of players and
participants to double. During this sports season, which resulted in an
external superiority for the Saudi national team by obtaining international
medals, he hoped everyone would do more to give his thanks and greetings to all
the heads of the clubs of more than 70 clubs for their contribution to the
success of the sports season, as well as to the members of the Board of
Directors of the Federation for their permanent presence in the event.
