Yesterday, the first Saudi national futsal team
qualified for the final of the West Asian Championship in its fourth edition,
hosted by Kuwait, after defeating its Omani counterpart 4-3, in the match that
brought them together in the Kuwaiti Al-Nasr Club Hall.
Saudi Al-Akhdar's goals were scored by Mohsen Fakihi
"two goals" and Abdullah Maghribi "two goals".
Tomorrow, the green of the futsal will face Kuwait,
the host of the tournament, in the final match. Nasser Al-Saadi, director of
futsal and beach football in the Saudi Football Federation, told Al-Riyadia
that the Saudi team deserved to reach the final of the tournament after
overcoming the confrontations of the first group, which included strong teams
such as Kuwait and Iraq.
Al-Saadi said: "We have to focus on the final
match from now on, and work on achieving the first title of the game, which
witnessed a great development due to the presence of Saudi talents, which
contributed to the Saudi team reaching the final."
