Karate finishes "international"
Yesterday, the first Saudi Karate team finished its
participation in the Series “A” Championship of the International Karate
Federation in Cairo, the Egyptian capital.
The tournament witnessed the participation of 40 teams
and 870 male and female players. The Saudi national team list included 13 players
in the fighting competitions. The player Sultan Al-Zahrani won the silver medal
in the -75 weight category, after losing to the Egyptian Hisham Abdel Gawad by
weighting.
And 16 Saudi international referees participated in
the leadership of the series “A” championship competitions for the
International Karate Federation.
