Saudi Arabia wins "Otto Semitic"
The Saudi Olympic Academy was awarded the Otto Simesik
Award, becoming the first Olympic Academy to win the award, during the official
inauguration ceremony of the 62nd edition of the Olympic Ambassadors Program of
the International Olympic Academy in Athens, the Greek capital, yesterday, in
the presence of Katrina Sakellaropoulou, President of Greece.
Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz, Vice President
of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Chairman of the Board of
Directors of the Saudi Olympic Academy, received the award from Evilios
Kovelios, President of the International Olympic Academy, in exchange for
reactivating the Saudi Academy.
