The first Saudi national futsal team lost the title of
the fourth West Asian Championship for men, hosted by Kuwait, after losing to
its Kuwaiti counterpart 3-5, in the match that took place in the Kuwaiti
Al-Nasr Club hall.
The Saudi Green team won the second place and silver
medals, and Fahd Al-Rudaini won the award for the best player in the
tournament. The goals of Saudi Arabia in the match were scored by Abdullah
Maghribi, Moaz Al-Asiri and Saleh Al-Qarni.
The final match witnessed the presence of Dr. Khaled
Al-Thubaiti, Vice President of the Saudi Football Association, and Nasser
Al-Saadi, Director of the Futsal and Beach Soccer Department in the Football
Association.
