The Technical Committee for Competitions and
Championships in the Saudi Handball Federation approved, on Saturday, the
competition system for the next sports season 2022-2023, which starts on
September 2, 2022.

system consists of two rounds, provided that the team with the most points gets
the title, and the eleventh and twelfth places are relegated to the first

The Youth League Premier League is played with the
participation of 10 teams, with the same system in place, a two-round league,
provided that the team with the most points gets the title, and the ninth and
tenth place holders of the Regions League Championship for the 2023-2024 sports
season are relegated.
In the same context, there was a change in the system
of the Premier League for the junior degree, after increasing the number of
participating teams to 16 teams, as the participating teams will be divided
into two groups in the preliminary round (each group is 8 teams), and the
preliminary round will be played in the league system of two rounds, provided
that they qualify The teams that got the first four places from each group for
the main round to determine the places 1-8, where they play in the two-group system
as well, and in the same way for the teams that got the places from the fifth
to the eighth in the two groups of the preliminary round, who play to determine
the places 9-16, with the two teams relegated The two winners of the 15th and
16th places in the Regions League Championship for the 2023-2024 sports season.
The elite tournament system will continue for all
categories, seniors, youth, and juniors, with the participation of the first
four clubs in the Premier League for each category, where the tournaments are
played in the league system from one role.
