Al-Othman wins 3 medals in “Asian Weightlifting”
Ali Al-Othman, the Saudi
weightlifter, has achieved 3 "gold and silver" medals during his
participation in the Asian Junior and Youth Weightlifting Championships
currently taking place in Tashkent, the Uzbek capital, with the participation
of more than 261 weightlifters representing 21 countries.
Al-Othman won the first gold
medal after winning the first place in the netter competitions in the weight of
96 kg, while he won the second gold in the overall total of the same
competition after obtaining 344 points.
The silver medal was in the
snatching competition in the 96 kg weight category.
Mohammed Al-Harbi, President
of the Saudi Weightlifting Federation and member of the Executive Office of the
International and Asian Federations, praised the great work provided by the
members of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Weightlifting Federation and the
administrative and technical bodies of the Saudi national teams, stressing that
what has been achieved proves the ability of Saudi weightlifting to be one of
the tributaries of gold And colored medals and excellence in foreign
tournaments.
Al-Othman promised the Saudi
weightlifter to present more achievements in the upcoming forums and
competitions.
